Researches in the College of Materials Sciences and Opto-Electronic Technology (CMO) are divided into two main brances as the college name has suggested.

Based on the multi-disciplinary feature of the Materials Science, faculties in the Materials Science branch are carrying out a wide range of research projects by using different methods both theoretically and experimentally. The undergoing research activities includes studying the physics of both soft and hard materials, the metal and semicondoctor materials, the synthesis of new nano-functional materials, the characterization of material structure, etc. Detailed information can be found in the following inroductions of Labs.

On the other branch of Opto-Electronic Technology, faculties are active in the researches of manufacturing novel Opto-Electronic devices, investigating new methods of optical manifestation, etc.
