Prof. LI Xiangting, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS

Prof. LI graduated from Physics Department of Wuhan University, and is research fellow of the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS, and also the honorary director of the Shanghai Electron Microscopy Society. He participated in the standardization works more than 30 years in the Committee of the Micro-beam analysis of National Bureau of Technical Supervision and the International Organization for Standardization. He presided over the development of the diamond, BGO and many other national standards and national standards of EDS/WDS on the material analysis methods. He published 61 papers in domestic and abroad, co-write and translates a number of publications.

 

Prof. XU Fangfang, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS

Prof. XU graduated from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS and now is research fellow there. He is the vice-director of Inorganic Material Analysis and Testing Centre. In recent years, he hosted and participated in the Natural Science Foundation,973 nano-meter special projects and many other research projects. The research includes the growth mechanism of one-dimensional nano-materials, SiAlON-based fluorescent materials, rare earth doped structure and its relationship to the luminescence properties, the structure and phase transition of the VO2 thermochromics material, the structural and phase transition of the Cu2Se thermoelectric materials.

 

Prof. CHENG Zhihai, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology.

Prof. CHENG’s research mainly focuses on advanced atomic force microscope (AFM) modes and their applications in fundamental nanoscience research. Prof. CHENG got his B.S. in the Department of Physics and Optical Electrical Applied Physics at the Dalian University of Technology. He earned his M.S./Ph.D degrees at the Institute of Physics, CAS, in Solid State Physics. He then moved to the department of physics at FU Berlin, Germany, as a visiting scholar. Later, he joined the Department of Chemistry and Center for Nanoscience at the University of California, Riverside, as an academic post-doc. Dr. CHENG has published more than 40 high impact peer-reviewed scientific papers, many of which were reported in news journals such as Science Magazine, Physical World, and Science Daily. One of his works was selected for the Annual cover image of “Nature”. Dr. CHENG is the recipient of the China Academy of Science “Hundreds Talent” Award, the first “Young Talent Scientist” Award.

 

Dr. LIU Shuwei, State Key Laboratory of Tribology, Tsinghua University.

Dr. LIU’s research mainly focuses on the study of tribology and super – lubricityat nanometerlength scales. Dr.LIU gother B.S.from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jilin University and then earned her Ph.Din the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University,working with Prof.Jianbin LUO,aca-demician of CAS.Her recent publication, “Robust Microscale Super lbricityunder High Contact Pressure Enabled by Graphene-coated Microsphere.” in Nature Communications, was selected as the years-best-research at Tsinghua University(2016).

 

Dr. MENG Lijun, Applications Leader at OI NA

MENG Lijun got her Doctor Degree from School of Material Science Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2010. By different means of microscopic analysis, Lijun study on microstructure and deformation mechanism of austenitic steel. After join in Oxford Instruments, Lijun is responsible for technique support on EDS\EBSD\WDS and Omniprobe. At present, she tends to EDS on SEM/TEM and its related functions including Feature\Mineral\Steel. 

 

Dr. YANG Xiaopeng,Application scientist at OI NA

Dr. Xiaopeng YANG graduated from Tsinghua University, with bachelor and doctoral degrees from the department of Materials Science and Technology. The topic of the doctoral research is about the microstructure evolution of the high temperature
superconducting tapes, by means of TEM and XRD. He joined Bruker GmbH in 2010 for the developing of the EBSD post-processing functions. He joined the Oxford Instruments until now for the technical supports and promotion of EBSD. He is good at phase transformation, crystallography and texture analysis, analysing and solving crystallography-related problems by programming.

 

Dr. LIU Fang, Senior Technical Sales Engineer at OI AR

Dr. LIU got his B.S./M.S. in Chemistry at Jilin University.He then earned his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in Chemistry studying microfluidic protein microarray technology and applications. Dr. LIU worked as a Senior Researcher and Surface Analysis Team Leader at AkzoNobel for several years before joining Asylum Research in his current broad role as Senior Technical Sales Engineer. In addition to his sales role, Dr. LIU provides advanced level technical and AFM technology and application consultancy for Asylum Research customers clients, and collaborators.
